Admission Criteria

B.Tech. (Regular)/B.Tech. (Hons.)

Preference will be given to candidates qualifying in PMIST Entrance Examination (PMESE 2024 conducted by PMIST) or JEE-Mains 2024 or Uniguage 2024 or any other State/National level Entrance Examination conducted by competent authority.

Admission to B.Tech. programme is based on the merit list prepared with the normalized cut off marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

B.Tech. (Lateral Entry)/B.Tech. (Hons.)

Lateral Entry will be given to candidates qualifying in Diploma Examination (recognized by DOTE) to Second year of the Degree Courses in Engineering and Technology, permissible to a maximum of 10% of the "Approved Intake" which shall be over and above the supernumerary to the "Approved Intake", plus the unfilled vacancies of the first year.

Eligibility

B.Tech. (Regular)

Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with any three of the following Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject /Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship.

Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Candidates qualifying in Diploma Examination (recognized by DOTE) with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to the vacancies in the First year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

PMIST will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the Programme.

Candidate should have passed Minimum Three years / Two Years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any branch of Engineering and Technology.

Candidate should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

Candidate should have passed D.Voc Stream in the same or allied sector.

B.Tech. (Hons.) Degree Programme

Honours is a specialized degree that focuses on the area of the students' interest, which encourages advanced level so study and multidisciplinary learning. Honours qualification enhances professional development and facilitates gaining recognition at the time of graduation for advanced and distinguished work contributed by the under graduate students.

Eligibility Criteria for Registration

Every student at the Institute intending to register for the "Honours" qualification shall fulfill the following academic requirements:

Registration to "Honours" qualification shall start from third semester onwards.

Students should have passed all the courses of first and second semesters in the first attempt and have an overall 8.0CGPA.

The lateral entry students / B.Sc. graduates should undergo two additional courses as recommended by the respective department, one course in the 3 rd semester and the other course in the 4 th semester.

Eligibility Criteria for Registration

Any student who meets the eligibility criteria specified above and intends to register for the "Honours" qualification shall apply to the Institute through HoD in a prescribed form along with the prescribed application fee within 15 days after notification by the Institute.

There will be no limit on the intake of students for registration for "Honours" qualification.

Notification for approved registrants will be notified by the Dean (Academic Courses) within a week after application.

If registered, the students shall pay a one-time non-refundable registration fee as prescribed by the Institute to confirm the registration.

Admission Criteria

For all PG Engineering M.Tech. / M.Arch. programmes, Preference will be given to candidates like PMESE/GATE/TANCET/ any other State /National level entrance examinations conducted by the competent authority.

Eligibility

M.Tech. - Master of Technology

Candidate should have passed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline / field / programme.

Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
