Periyar Technology Business Incubator

• Incubator provides training to the students to develop viable business.
• Also it provides space and instruments - enables them to get financial support.
• Students in the past have accomplished the following through our incubation support
• A team of students participated in the NABARD funded project “Design and development of semi automated buffing machine for stainless Steel utensils “(2008-12 batch Mechanical Engineering), the machine design being the first in the industry, also got patented.
• Our student has won best Innovative product Idea award and first prize in State level Entrepreneurship and Business Plan competition organised by Entrepreneurship Development Institute ,TN state(2010)
• Our students won first three places in “Ideaspark-2013” a Social enterprise business plan competition organised by IIT-Madras.
• Two of the Incubatees won national awards from Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) - 2010 and 2012.
• Our incubatees received support through Govt Grants like Biotechnology Ignition Grant; Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme etc.
