About

The Department of Chemical Engineering came into existence since 2007 with the first batch of students graduating in 2012.Over these years the department has trained engineering manpower of the highest quality in international standards. Imparting quality education inculcating scientific temper and high professional ethics are the hallmarks of the department.

The department comprises of 7 faculty members excelling in their areas of interest, which not only span traditional core areas but also the cutting- edge frontiers of modern Chemical Engineering. The commitment of our faculty members to teaching and research is exemplary. Such a diverse range of expertise available in the department is reflected both in the research profile and in the variety of elective courses available to undergraduate. Likewise, the research tradition is deep-rooted. For instance, the undergraduate students in the III year undergo compulsory in plant training for two months and a long research project in the final year for six months. There is an active seminar programme which endeavors to bring eminent speakers from India and abroad to spend some time in the department.
