Periyar Maniammai Hospital (24x7 Service)

Hospital facility is available within the PMIST campus for attending to the needs of the staff, students and general public. The hospital is facilitated with ambulance service, 16 beds, clinical laboratory and an operation theatre. The health workers visit nearby villages twice a week and conduct Medical camps periodically like Blood donation camp, Siddha Medical Camp, Eye camp, and Cancer Awareness camp in the adopted villages and providing medical consultations to all staff and students.

If required the following specialist attend the duty on emergency to take care of patients.

Indian Overseas Bank branch

PMIST provides banking facility within the campus. It provides all transaction facilities, Internet banking and Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) and Cash Depositing Machine (CDM) facilities for the reach of every student and public. All the students are encouraged to open an account for online fees payment facility and others. The Bank functions on all working days by providing all type of banking services to students, staff and general public.

FM Community Radio

Periyar Community Radio 90.4 MHZ also known as life enriched radio is a community radio set up on September 2007 to empower the local rural community, specifically to the marginalized. The station was inaugurated by Former President of India Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. The community radio has a strong vision to combat illiteracy, poverty, women empowerment, health and education. It broadcasts three hours per day with one live session from 11 am to 2 pm and being rebroadcasted from 6 pm to 9 pm

Cafeteria & Gift Parlor

The campus is enriched with two cafeterias; Annai Nagammaiyar Canteen and Savitribai Phule Cafeteria. Both provide healthy and hygienic food. All cafeterias are open on all working days and provide food at a nominal price. Highly hygienic catering, purified Drinking water are provided. The kitchen is equipped with modernized cooking appliances/gadgets. Gift parlour facility is provided with all basic stationary needs and eatables for students.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

PMIST campus is enabled with High Speed LAN (Optical Fiber Connection) for all Departments, Labs, Hostels and Administrative Sections at a speed of 1 GBPS.

E- Governance is supported with 11 Rack servers and Tower servers for enabling all routine academic activities.

Periyar Technology Business Incubator (Periyar TBI)

Periyar TBI has been established in the campus with the funding support of Government of India. It plays a significant role to provide entrepreneurial services to the students. Activities like Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, public meetings, seminars, workshops, Skill development programmes, hands on training in instruments and customised programmes on demand. Periyar TBI has a full-fledged testing laboratory with state of art of equipment to carry out all biological and organic sample testing. Enabled with small formulation unit, Common Facility Centre; tissue culture production unit to support medicinal plants based product development. Individual incubation space is also allotted for eligible enterprising units and provided with necessary infrastructure facilities.

Hostel Facilities

There are four hostels- three of them Annai Nagammaiyar, Vittobai and Swarna Ranganathan hostel are for women and they can accommodate around 2000 women students and the chakravarthi hostel for men can accommodate 600 students. Hostels are located within the campus in clean and calm environment, conductive to living and learning.

Sports Facilities

PMIST has a well laid 400meter standard track, a multipurpose indoor stadium, basket ball courts, badminton courts helps all students to get involved themselves in everyday practices gives more confidence to the players. PMIST provides a wide opportunity to enhance every aspiring sports student to stay fit and energetic. The facilities provided in the campus enables them to practice and perform by using their tactics, strategies and team spirit. Students are taught how to maintain their physical fitness, analyse any situation and make decisions in tracks or in stadium whenever required.

The Biometric based Attendance Automation

The campus provides the Biometric based Automation system to the Teaching and Non Teaching Staff to mark their attendance.

Post office in the campus

Post Office is housed inside the campus which provides mail services like Speed post, Registered Post and other financial services to all staff, students and general public.

PMIST - Driving School

PMIST has instituted Driving School facility for interested staff and students inside the campus. Both two and four wheeler training are given in the special lanes established for practicing driving. Trained instructors are giving practice for the students. Students can choose their convenient timings to learn driving. The regular practice helps the students to become more confident in driving.

Transport facility

The PMIST campus is well connected by roads. Transport facility is available for both students and faculty members. Students can avail the facility by making a prior request to the Transport division Manager. The Bus routes and pickup points will be informed well in advance to the students. Buses with all safety measures are operated in and around Thanjavur connecting places within 60 kms of radius.
