The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was started in October, 1988. It aims to produce quality professionals in Electronics and communication engineering to compete globally and excel by carrying out basic and applied research in emerging areas. The Department is accredited by National Board of Accreditations for the year 1998, 2001, 2004, and 2009 respectively.

To achieve global relevance in Electronics and Communication Engineering and its emerging specializations by promoting innovation-led learning and research, and creatingsocially responsible professionals who contribute to sustainable and inclusive development.

Mission

To offer outcome-based UG / PG / Ph.D. programmes with contemporary curriculum, scholarly faculty, and state-of-the-art laboratories to build strong foundations in electronics, communication, and computing.

To provide student-centred learning experiences that strengthens critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication through design-oriented and technology-enabled pedagogy.
