This proposal outlines the introduction of dual degree programmes at Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology (PMIST). The initiative is aimed at core engineering students, offering them the opportunity to enroll in dual degree programmes in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS).

Dual degree programmes have gained substantial traction in recent years, providing students with the flexibility to acquire interdisciplinary skills and improve their employability. PMIST is committed to enhancing student opportunities by offering these dual degree options.

The proposed dual degree programmes target:

Core engineering students (e, g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) who can enrol in dual degree programmes in CSE or AI & DS.

  • Core courses from the primary degree.
  • Specialized courses from the secondary degree (CSE or AI & DS).
