The Department of Education was started in 2009 with the objectives of enhancing the professional Competencies and skills of serving teachers in Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools. The Department offers B.Ed programmes from the academic year 2009 – 2010, after duly recognized by NCTE, Bangalore. The department also offering B.Sc. B.Ed (Four Year Integrated Programme) from the academic year 2015, M.Phil. programmes (Full Time/Part Time) and Ph.D. programme (Full Time / Part Time) from the academic year 2010 – 2011. Curriculum innovation is given priority by the University to make the courses with job oriented. Besides the regular activities, the faculty members of the Education Department are actively involved in research oriented activities also along with the publication of articles in national and international journals. The Department organizes workshops, seminars and Conferences to enrich the academic community.
