Eligibility : Should have passed 10 + 2 / equivalent pattern of study with 50% in aggregate with subjects Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science with any other subjects.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO) FOR B.Ed
  • PEO 1 - Graduates of the programme will be professional sound teachers and contribute to the human resources development of the Nation.
  • PEO 2 - Graduates of the programme will create innovation in teaching learning process of secondary education.
  • PEO 3 - Graduates of the programme will discharge their duties as competent teachers with quality and ethics.
  • PEO 4 - Graduates of the programme will develop positive attitude towards teaching, update their knowledge for continuous professional development with focus on research and development in secondary education.
PROGRAMME OUTCOME (PO) FOR B.Ed
  • At the time of graduation, competency of the student is measured through the attainment of programme outcomes. The quantification of programme outcomes attainment is measured through the assessment of established course outcomes for each subject.

  • PO1 - Develop good command of the subject matter to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge of Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Chemistry in upper primary and secondary level education.
  • PO2 - Tech in accordance with the philosophical, sociological and psychological foundations of education to give best support to students learning.
  • PO3 - Effective use of innovative teaching methods, appropriate teaching aids and assessment tools.
  • PO4 - Create, select and apply appropriate ICT techniques material and modern information tools such as internet, e – resources for content delivery, analysis, testing and evaluation.
  • PO5 - Engage in purposeful professional development focused on professional goals. Ability to pursue post-graduation in Education and their discipline.
  • PO6 - Develop language proficiency and communicate effectively as a teacher in the teaching learning activities and as a leader in various activities of the school and society.
  • PO7 - Relate subject matter with social milieu and develop critical thinking, professional ethics and service attitude to contribute for the upliftment of the society. Identify issues such as gender, women empowerment, environment etc.

B.Sc.B.Ed (four year integrated) programme that deals with the study of new methods of teaching and educational research. The programme focuses on different aspects of education including instruction, curriculum, counseling, leadership, and educational technology. The regulatory body in charge of the bsc.bed programme is National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). Syllabus of B.Sc.B.Ed lays emphasis on different pedagogy of learning techniques that help candidates develop the right technical finesse to become an educator. The course curriculum of B.Sc.B.Ed not only includes theory but also a great amount of practical work. As part of the practical experience candidates are encouraged to prepare dissertations, join internships, pursue academic writing, and attend workshops and seminars.
