PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES - PEO
The Five Year Integrated M.Sc. computer science programme is dedicated to produce graduates who have
  • An ability to apply computer science theory, principles, tools and processes to design, synthesize, analyze, develop and maintain the complex and scalable software systems.
  • An ability to apply state-of–the–art tools and techniques necessary for the professional practices with awareness of contemporary issues and technological impact on society.
  • An ability to contribute towards the development of the next generation of information technology through excellence in research.
  • An ability to be an effective member/leader of a multi-disciplinary team with an awareness of individual, professional, ethical responsibilities and to communicate with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • An ability to pursue life-long learning through graduate education, participation in professional activities, acquisition of new technical proficiencies and thus adapting to the rapidly changing technological world.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES - PO
Graduates of the Five Year Integrated M.Sc. computer science programme will have attained :
  • An ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and computer science for analyzing computer science problems in order to solve complex software systems.
  • An ability to design, implement, verify, validate and maintain software systems to meet the desired needs and apply appropriate knowledge to review the societal issues pertinent to the professional computer science practice.
  • An ability to collaborate the existing principles, technologies and methodologies for the development of software products to afford novel conclusions.
  • An ability to create, select and apply suitable state-of-the-art techniques, contemporary practices, novel development tool, software framework and programming language to solve complex computer science problems.
  • An ability to recognize the impact of professional software solutions in a economical, societal and environmental perspective and exhibit the need for sustainable development.
  • An ability to understand the professional and ethical responsibility of a software engineer and to function as an individual or a team member/leader in the multi-disciplinary teams.

  • An ability to design tremendous 2-D or 3-D characters for an animated project.
  • An ability to develop excellent motion capturing movies.
The Curriculum and Syllabus of computer science programme are designed in line with the current global needs. It is framed based on Outcome Based Education and guidelines. The syllabus facilitates students to inculcate independent designing skill, advanced technology, innovative research and social responsibility.
