Dravida Pozhil (Journal of Dravidian Studies - JODS) is a Quarterly, Bi-lingual, Academic Research
Journal published in the field of Social Sciences with focus on Dravidian Studies.
“By the grove resides the spring, by beauty resides the life (poḻil vati vēnil, pēr eḻil vāḻkkai)” – so
sings Sanga Tamil. The Tamil word ‘Pozhil or poḻil’ not only means a grove, garden or oasis. It means
where the water fluxes continuously and self-sustains in a grove of flora & fauna. Similarly, in this
Dravidian Oasis – Dravida Pozhil, the concepts of Dravidian culture will flux and self-sustain with
continuous improvement
The Journal of Dravidian Studies (JODS) – Dravida Pozhil is a journey of education, a journey towards
the people, a journey joining the scholars and the people and a journey of social justice, wherein the
doors of education were made wide open to all by the Dravidian Movement.
