Welcome to the Department of Architecture at Periyar Maniammai Institute of science and technology. The Department established in the academic year 1995-96 has continuously made significant strides in the field of Architectural education with all round performance academically, socially and environmentally. It is marching towards 25 years of excellence. The well designed Architectural program encapsulates all the aspects of the current profession and society. The Department has a strong tradition of fostering independent designing , research and social responsibility.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The Architectural degree is designed in such a way that it fulfills the educational component of professional certifying body Council of Architecture (CoA). Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is a 5 year full-time programme comprising 10 semesters. The Program is a comprehensive amalgamation of professionally oriented course design and Outcome Based Education system.

  • Regular case study visits and study tours, educational tours throughout India and abroad are incorporated in the curriculum.

  • Value added courses on Design software's - AUTOCAD, Sketchup, Revit and 3Ds max.
  • Hands on experience through Design, Art, Construction and services workshops.
