The IEEE Madras Section in association with Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology is organizing the “Panel of Conference Organizers (POCO 2026)” on 06 June 2026 from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM at PMIST Campus, Vallam, Thanjavur. POCO 2026 is a flagship workshop initiative of IEEE Madras Section aimed at enhancing the quality, visibility, and success of technical conferences. The programme is designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and professional insights required for planning, organizing, and managing conferences in accordance with IEEE standards and international best practices. The workshop will cover important aspects of conference organization including IEEE conference guidelines, technical co-sponsorship procedures, budgeting and financial management, reviewer management, plagiarism and quality control, publication ethics, submission workflow, IEEE Xplore submission process, author engagement strategies, publicity, website management, and post-conference reporting practices.
